Statement of Beliefs
We believe there is one true God, eternally existing in three persons. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19, Corinthians 13:14)
We believe that the entire Bible (sixty-six books) is God's Holy word and reveals His will to mankind. We believe the Bible to be inspired, infallible, complete and is final authority in all spiritual matters. The Bible is our anchor of truth. (2 Timothy 3:16)
We believe that God created a perfect universe, and He created man in His own image. We believe man willingly fell into sin in the Garden of Eden and this ushered evil and death both spiritual and physical into the world. (Genesis 1:1,2,27; Romans 5:18)
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary and lived a sinless life. We believe He willingly gave up His life by dying on a cross to take the punishment for our sin so we could become the righteousness of God. We believe He rose from the dead and now sits beside the Father making intercessions for us. (Micah 5:2; Matthew 1:20,21,25; John 19:17-19; John 20:16.17)
We believe that salvation is the gift of God, by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins; that His salvation belongs to those who by faith accept Christ as their personal Savior. We believe there is no other way to the Father or His gift of salvation except through faith in the shed blood of Jesus. (John 3:16; John 16:7-11; Romans 10:13; Ephesians 2:5,8)
We believe that the Bible teaches that each believer can and is commanded to live in separation from all worldly and sinful practices. (2 Corinthians 6:14, 17)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved to everlasting life and the lost without Christ to everlasting damnation. (Matthew 24:31-46, Acts 24:15; Rev. 22:11)
We believe that marriage is holy and was instituted by God, with the intent that it would be a life long heterosexual union between one man and one woman. (1 Corinthians 7:3-5;7:10-11;Genesis 2:24)
We believe in the personal, imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We believe there will be a catching away of the church. (Acts1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is given to believers who ask for it in faith. And is given to empower believers to be witnesses. (Joel 2:28; Acts1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
We believe the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer. (Isaiah 53:4.5; James 5:14,15; 1 peter 2:24)
